Hi. Matt Bench here. I come to your home, apartment gym, local park, or private facility that I rent near Memorial.
Others call me a Exercise Instructor, but no matter what they call me, I assist everyone how to move like a dancing toddler until they are 100 years old. Not many folks hire me to be an Olympian or climb mount Everest. Rather my clients want to feel great in their body, move with confidence and vigor, and avoid the surgeon and wheelchairs for good.
So when I my clients say that I’m the best exercise coach in Houston, they mean that I make the process of getting strong and limber easy and effortless - without unnecessary pain and over-thinking about arbitrary ‘proper form’. Houston’s top personal fitness professionals are able to abandon ‘the science of the day’ knowing that the best workout someone can do is the one that they are actually going to do - which happens to be the one they enjoy the most. Forcing someone to do a movement because ‘it’s good for them’ but doesn’t feel ‘good for them’ is silly. ‘I know best because I’m the personal trainer’ type thinking can be dangerous and just plain pointless. I don’t know how a movement feels to someone, all I can pay attention to is the changes that happened from it. Posture, breathing, face color, other indicators of aliveness.
